University of Malawi (Unima) Writers Workshop President Alfred Kamwendo has stitched an Extended Playlist (EP), God Working Ahead.
Kamwendo, who is also an actor and playwright and goes by the stage name Alfred Inkah, said the EP has a combination of poems in Chichewa and English.
“The inspiration behind this EP stems from different failures, stresses and the lost hope that I have witnessed as a person and, of course, that I have observed in Malawians,” he said.
A third-year student, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Humanities degree, said, through the EP, he is attempting to put his body of poems together.
“The EP is all about hope that even if we backslide spiritually, struggle economically and in whatever way, there is still God, who is not done with our lives. We need to keep pushing,” he said.
