Mighty Mukuru Wanderers attacking midfielder Mphatso Kamanga is expected to undergo arthroscopy plus meniscectomy knee surgery at West-end Clinic in Harare, Zimbabwe, this week.
Kamanga flew to Harare Monday through Chileka International Airport in Blantyre, having been out of action since August 18 when the Nomads played against Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos.

Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Panganeni Ndovi said they sought medical help from Zimbabwe as Malawi had no facilities to deal with the medical condition.
“I can confirm that we have flown Mphatso [Kamanga] to Zimbabwe to undergo surgery on his meniscus injury. We currently do not have medical facilities in Malawi to conduct such surgeries for adults, hence our decision to seek medical help in Zimbabwe,” Ndovi said.
He said they expected the midfielder to return on Friday next week.

Kamanga, who joined Wanderers from Karonga United on a three-year deal in December 2022, hailed the team for the support.
“It is my wish to recover quickly from the injury to help my team,” he said.
The attacker suffered a torn meniscus in August, ruling him out since then.
