The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) has urged small and medium enterprises (SME) to utilise its upcoming SME trade exhibition dubbed ‘The Farmers’ Market’ to grow their businesses through linkages and direct sales.
The two-day exposition begins today in Mzuzu and starts tomorrow in Blantyre.
In Lilongwe, it is expected to take place on December 1 and 2.
MCCCI Communications Executive Orama Chiphwanya said the events will provide an opportunity to businesses to showcase and sell their products and services to the public while strengthening and promoting links between businesses and financial services players.
“These events provide an important platform for exchanging important information among businesses and identifying potential buyers of their products, but also learning how best businesses can adapt to the ever changing market needs. We are calling upon the entire business community to take part in these events,” Chimphwanya said.

National Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (Nasme) General Manager Frank Tauzi touted the initiative.
“Such events help us SMEs to learn from each other on how things are done and have business linkages with big players in the sector, hence we are looking forward to it like we have always done,” Tauzi said.
