Singer and guitarist Agorosso said yesterday that he will continue to utilise his gift to tackle matters that affect society.
The ‘Folly’ maker said this having released a music video for his song titled ‘Nkhawa’, which speaks about mental health.
He said the track was inspired by the increase in suicide cases.
“This song seeks to encourage the country to put more interest in mental health issues and not neglect them. We need to hold hands and help one another; otherwise, we are losing people [to mental health issues],” Agorosso said.
Having played a role in veteran filmmaker Shemu Joyah’s films such as The Last Fishing Boat, Agorosso decided to work on a music video which has seen him working with other creatives.

“After dropping the track, I thought of creating a music video and, since it got on the market, I am happy with the response I have got,” he said.
Agorosso said while creatives are there to offer entertainment, they also have a role to play in bringing about change.
The artist, who was one of the quarter finalists in the Malawi Has Talent Season II by Goshen City, whose grand finale will be held in Blantyre on January 24 2026, said he was looking forward to dropping more compositions on important issues affecting society.
