The Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Court has reserved its ruling on a bail application in a case involving former Immigration chief, retired Brigadier General Charles Kalumo, who is accused of abuse of office.
Last week, Senior Resident Magistrate Shukurani Kumbani said the ruling would be delivered by email. However, this did not happen until yesterday when he clarified the court’s position.
According to Kalumo’s lawyer, Chrispin Ndalama, the court said it could not deliver its ruling in Kalumo’s absence
