Judge William Yakuwawa Msiska Friday granted an injunction stopping government from implementing the redeployment of five senior Malawi Police Service (MPS) officers to the civil service.
The five officers, all holding the rank of Commissioner, are Christopher Katani, Rhoda Manjolo, Emmanuel Soko, Chikondi Chingadza and Barbra Mchenga Tsiga.
The government has redeployed them to civilian institutions.
Counsel for the commissioners, Khumbo Soko, confirmed with Malawi News the injunction.
