H. Adam Wholesalers, sponsors of Durata Premier Division and Division one leagues in the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA), have pledged to continue supporting the two leagues in the forthcoming season. Currently, the company sponsors the Premier Division at K26 million while Division One is bankrolled with K16 million.
The company’s regional sales manager Oster Banda said the decision was made in appreciation of professionalism which ERFA demonstrated in running the two leagues in their maiden season.
Banda said they believe the cordial relationship between the two parties would go a long way in identifying talent to build Malawi football.
“We decided to sponsor this league to help Football Association of Malawi (Fam) to transform the game of football. We are hopeful that the Eastern Region will produce a team that will play elite football in the next two years. We are happy to be part of this family and we are hoping for the best next season,” Banda said.
ERFA Chairperson Issa Ibrahim said they were currently discussing with their sponsor to continue supporting the leagues.
