Some investors which the government licensed for mining activities have not been operating in their designated areas.
Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Mining, Rodwell Mzonde, said audits which the ministry has conducted have exposed several non-compliant investors, including licence holders who were not undertaking mining activities in the areas allocated to them.
