Malawi Under-21 National Netball Team has sent a stern warning in their quest to win the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 Africa qualifying tournament in Pretoria, South Africa.
The junior Queens will today face Kenya after they deservedly defeated Namibia 48-23 on Sunday in their opening match.
Former Queens attacker Cecilia Mtukule Bondwe, who is the team’s assistant coach, said they want to win the tournament as they bid to qualify for the Gibraltar Netball World Youth Cup 2025 finals.
“We are happy to have won the game. We had problems in the first 45 minutes but the girls picked up because of teamwork. It is a great thing to take part in this competition. We want to repeat the form in the next matches.
“Our motto is not only to compete but to win. With that motto, we will achieve our goal of winning the tournament,” the former Blue Eagles Sisters attacker said.
