This year’s Kamuzu Day celebrations will take place at Kamuzu Mausoleum in Lilongwe, with government officials and family members saying preparations are underway.
A member of the Kamuzu family, who is also part of the organising committee, Ken Kandondo, confirmed the development.
He said the family was working closely with the government to prepare for the event.
“Preparations are being carried out jointly with the government,” Kandondo said.
