Celebrated musician and producer Lulu is expected to perform in Kampala, Uganda, at Kirya Live 2023.
The Kirya Live Events, created by Ugandan singer and actor Maurice Kirya in 2011, will take place at The Kampala Serena Hotel on September 8 2023.
Lulu said on Monday that he was happy to get such an opportunity to perform in Uganda.
“We need such opportunities for us to grow our music. We need to take our music to the world and I am looking forward to performing in Uganda,” the ‘Kumalembe’ creator, who performed in United States of America in May this year, said.
The Lilongwe-based musician, who is also a producer, will share the stage with Uganda’s Ibrahim Soul’O and Aliddeki.

Kirya described Lulu as an amazing artist and that Kirya Live Events was happy to host him live.
“I was introduced to his music recently and I loved it and ‘Ungondibwelezera’ is my favourite song,” he said.
Kirya further said they host artists from different countries and that this is the first time that they will be hosting a Malawian artist.
