Sindi on Sunday became the second representative for Malawi to be evicted from My Booth reality show, led by Elation Entertainment and featuring contestants from Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
She was evicted alongside Grey from Zambia in an episode in which the contestants were tasked with the reggae challenge rendition of local songs which, according to Elation Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Sokwani Chilembo, proved to be difficult for many contestants.
The eviction of Sindi leaves Malawi with three representatives, having already lost Vanessa Nalikungwi in the previous episode.
Sindi, a product of Music Crossroads Malawi Academy, could not be reached for her comment yesterday.
The three remaining representatives for Malawi are Alipo Mpita, Joe Kellz and Chisomo Chimoto.

The eviction of Grey has seen Zambia failing to preserve its 100 percent record as it has four representatives remaining.
The neighbouring country still remains top, with four contestants, against Malawi and Zimbabwe’s three representatives each.
Chilembo, who is among the judges alongside musician Patience Namadingo, maintained that the evictions were based on performance.
“We are happy with the way the show is panning out and the response from the three countries is overwhelming,” Chilembo said.

He said that the whole essence of creating My Booth is to bring out the best talents from the region and showcase its sound, which, he indicated, is unique.
The reality show started airing on May 14 2023 on DStv channel 278 and Gotv channel 19.
Through My Booth, contestants are sharing one house, band and microphone for the ultimate prize, with the show set to run with 13 episodes.
The winner will walk away with $50,000 recording deal and $10,000 cash.
