Former Flames coach Mario Marian Marinica, who has been appointed as new Liberian National Football team coach, has roped in a Malawian, Chikondi Mandalasi, to be a physiotherapist in his technical panel.
Mandalasi confirmed the development.
“Yes, it is true, right now I am just waiting for an air ticket to join the team,” Mandalasi said Tuesday.
Mandalasi worked with Marinica at Flames from 2021 to 2023.
Football Association of Malawi did not renew Marinica’s contract last year following a string of poor results.

Marinica told the Nation Tuesday that he will have no point to prove when his new team faces Malawi in a 2026 World Cup qualifier later this year.
The Romanian was unveiled as the Lone Stars boss on Monday.
