Malawi Telecommunications Limited (MTL) on Monday donated K3 million to the Bankers Association of Malawi (Bam) to go towards hosting its annual lake conference which started Thursday in Mangochi.
The three-day conference is being held under the theme ‘Bankers for All, Development for All’.
MTL Chief Commercial Officer Gladson Kuyeri said the firm values its working relationship with commercial banks.
He said the support signals confidence the company has in the banking system’s capacity to contribute towards national economic development.
“We have been providing connectivity that enables banks to connect their automated teller machines in their branches and other services to bank customers,” Kuyeri said.
