Premier Division side Ndirande Stars is beaming with confidence ahead of its Round-of-32 FDH Bank Cup tie against defending champions FCB Nyasa Bullets.
The two sides clash this afternoon at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre hoping to secure a slot in the last 16.
Stars Team Manager Kuruwa Ngwira said the Southern Region Football Association side has the quality to stop Bullets.
“We have been preparing for this match for some weeks. We know it will not be easy but we want to shock Bullets. We came close to beating Bullets Reserve last season in a cup tie and we believe the reserve is the best. The good thing is that we know how they play,” Ngwira, a former Bullets player, said.
The rookies have a talented squad comprising goalkeeper Hamigh Msopa, defender Kingsley Benson, midfielder Vincent Salawira and striker Richard Luciano.

Meanwhile, Bullets Assistant Coach Peter Mponda speaking after the side lost to Silver Strikers in the Castel Cup launch, said his charges will not underrate any team.
“Cup games are always tricky but we, as Bullets, are always focussed on winning,” he said.
