Malawi Women’s National Football Team Coach Lovemore Fazili has said his charges have no time to waste ahead of the 2026 TotalEnergies Caf Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) finals slated for next month.
Fazili said this after the Scorchers exited the delayed 2025 Cosafa Women’s Championship in South Africa on Tuesday.
He said the Scorchers would continue preparations for the Wafcon finals.
“I do not think we will break camp. We will continue training. Yes, we had players who came from abroad and I am sure that, as we continue our preparations, some senior players will join us and, then, we will be ready for Wafcon,” Fazili said.
