Puma Energy Malawi has launched its Puma Rewards Incentive Scheme (Pris), the country’s first integrated fuel and convenience loyalty application, enabling customers to earn and redeem points for fuel or shop purchases.
Puma Energy Malawi Managing Director Steveria Kadangwe said the Pris application was designed to return value to Malawian consumers by converting essential purchases into rewards.
“Puma Pris rewards everyday spending while supporting the country’s wider digital and economic development agenda. We, as a long-term partner to Malawi, are committed to ensuring our growth delivers practical benefits to the communities we serve,” she said. Speaking during the launch in Blantyre on Friday, Kadangwe said the digital platform was premised on modernising and streamlining operations across the company’s fuel retail network in Malawi while strengthening loyalty and rewards programmes.
The Puma Pris application enables customers to earn points on every litre of fuel and on lubricants purchased at Puma convenience shops. Points are credited instantly and reflected in the app after each transaction. Once enough points are accumulated, they can be redeemed on subsequent purchases for groceries at Puma shops or savings on future fuel purchases.
Customers who download the application simply present the QR code at the till to have points added instantly with each purchase.

“The app further moves Puma Energy closer to cashless transactions, enhances digital literacy and offers transparent spending insights, empowering users with greater control over their budgets,” she said.
Owned by local conglomerate Press Corporation plc and Puma Energy, Puma Energy Malawi has introduced Pris to reward customers whenever they purchase fuel or selected products at participating service stations nationwide. Press Corporation plc Chief Executive Officer Ronald Mangani said the initiative marked a milestone in the company’s drive to embrace innovation.
“This initiative supports Malawi’s digital transformation agenda by promoting greater digital inclusion. The app was developed in response to clear consumer demand for simplicity and instant utility,” he said. Mangani said the app demonstrated the company’s commitment to customer appreciation by offering a practical product that rewards loyalty and delivers real value to consumers.
