Malawi National Women’s Football Team striker Temwa Chawinga continues to hog the limelight in China after scoring seven goals in two cup matches.
Temwa netted a brace as Wuhan defeated Quangxi 4-1 on Monday, three days after scoring five goals in a 13-0 victory over Fuoshan.
The seven goals have taken Temwa to the summit of the goal scorers’ chart in the Chinese Women’s FA Cup.
The Malawian is also the leading goal scorer in the Chinese Women’s Super League with 10 goals this season.
Following the two victories, Wuhan are top of Group C with six points from two matches.

The 24-year old said she was excited with her performance.
’’It feels great to score seven goals in two matches. Everything is good here. I am determined to win more trophies with the team,’’ she said.
Temwa is looking forward to winning her second golden boot award this season, having lifted the accolade in the Chinese National Women’s Cup in April.
She scored six goals to help Wuhan retain the cup.

National Women’s Football Association Chairperson Adelaide Migogo hailed Temwa for her exploits.
’’I am really impressed with Temwa’s performance. She keeps on working very hard. This is great news for women’s football,’’ Migogo said.
Last year, Temwa won the Taiping Women’s Super League golden boot award with 10 goals, one above her sister Tabitha, who spent last season on loan at Inter Milan Women in Italy.
Temwa followed Tabitha in China after two seasons in Sweden.
In the Asian giant nation, Temwa has won three consecutive titles with Wuhan.
Her elder sister also wrote her own piece of history after clinching the golden boot award with 23 goals in 21 matches to become the first female African footballer to achieve the feat in Italy.
