TNM Super League debutants Creck Sporting Club’s coaching panel has been given an ultimatum to collect at least seven points from three matches or face the chop.
The Creck board issued the ultimatum in the wake of the team’s recent results under the guidance of MacDonald Mtetemera and his assistant Joseph Kamwendo.

However, Creck Board Chairperson Muhammad Selemani, while confirming the development, described it as an internal matter and that they were surprised when the letter circulated on social media.
Selemeni highlighted that despite the support and resources provided, the results have not been satisfactory.
The former Football Association of Malawi executive member said following a thorough assessment, it has been decided that disciplinary action, in the form of a written letter, be issued to their coaching staff.

“For the next three games, it is imperative that the team secures a minimum of 7 points. Failure to do so will result in further disciplinary action which may include dismissal from your positions,” Selemani said.
Selemani said the team was promoted to the elite league not just to survive relegation but prove that it can compete against and match the best to earn recognition on the domestic scene.
“We do not want to fight for relegation but have a heart of competing for honours.
“We have seen that something is not quite okay inside the technical panel. We are hopeful that this will help the team to take extra gear in our forthcoming matches,” Selemani said.

Mtetemela acknowledged receiving the letter but wondered about its timing since he signed a contract targeting a top-eight finish.
“It is true that the board has written us regarding the status of the club but I cannot talk much because I know what the contract said before I signed. We will try our best to achieve what we agreed with the owner of the club,” Mtetemera said.
Creck are on position 10 with 11 points from eight matches, having won thrice, drawn twice and lost three times.
The side will face Mafco at Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota, Saturday.
