Director of Administration in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Peter Monosire Muthete has emphasised the importance of discipline among young people.
He said this is key to achieving economic success.
Muthete made the remarks at the onboarding and orientation of Youth Innovation Fund Tier One successful applicants in Lilongwe.
“The government attaches great importance to this stage because it lays the foundation for effective implementation and sound management of public resources,” Muthete said.

Director of Programmes for National Youth Council Williot Lumbe encouraged the youth to participate fully in the economy.
“Implement [your plans] with discipline and hard work so that you are able to succeed. If you scale it up, the Malawi 2063 vision will move forward,” Lumbe said.
He said out of 830 youths who applied, 150 were selected to benefit from the programme, which started in 2025.
