Members of the FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coaching panel will know their future at the club when the team unveils a new head coach.
The People’s Team is expected to unveil a new coach today to replace Gilbert Chirwa, who was fired following an unconvincing start to the season.
According to sources, Bullets’ incoming coach Wedson Witson Nyirenda will come with some members of his backroom staff.
The development casts doubt on the future of the current Bullets coaching panel comprising the likes of Heston Munthali, Zicco Mkanda, Noel Kaole and James Chilapondwa.

Bullets Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga said it was too early to comment about the future of the coaches before unveiling a new coach.

“Once the appointment of the new head coach is finalised, all issues will be sorted internally,” he said.
Recently, Bullets shortlisted five coaches for interviews.
The coaches included Nyirenda and his compatriot Chris Kaunda, former Mighty Wanderers coach Mark Harrison, former Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp and local option Gerald Phiri Snr for interviews.
Sources said Nyirenda emerged successful.

Nyirenda played as a forward for Nchanga Rangers and Power Dynamos in Zambia’s top flight before moving to South Africa, where he played for Chiefs.
His coaching credentials include spells at Zesco United and Zanaco.
Nyirenda was also part of the technical setup that guided Zambia’s Under-20 national team to success, winning both the Cosafa Under-20 Championship in South Africa and the African Youth Championship.
He also managed Zambia senior side, Chipolopolo, during 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifying campaign.
