Malawi Women’s National Football Team, the Scorchers, will face Seychelles in international friendlies later this month.
All things being equal, the two teams are scheduled to play two matches on September 25 and 28 in Blantyre.
The matches are part of preparations for the 2023 Hollywood Bets Cosafa Cup slated for October 4 to 15 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Football Association of Malawi Competitions and Communications Director Gomezgani Zakazaka said full details will be released once the association finalises everything.
“We will communicate,’’ he said in a brief response.

This will be the first time for the Scorchers to play international matches after they lost 4-3 on aggregate to Zambia in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers last year.
National Women’s Football Association Chairperson Adellaide Migogo confirmed that the Scorchers will host Seychelles.
“We believe the matches will help the girls to prepare well for the Cosafa Cup,” Migogo said.
The Scorchers started camping at Mpira Village in Blantyre on Sunday.

Group winners will automatically qualify for the semi-finals and will be joined by the over-all runners-up.
