Seed Co Malawi has set aside K350 million for this year’s Malawi Open Golf Championship, scheduled for November 27 to 30 at Lilongwe Golf Club.
The company’s managing director Boyd Luwe announced the news during a press briefing held in Lilongwe Tuesday.
Luwe said this year’s event had special significance as the company is celebrating 25 years in Malawi.
“Seed Co has been sponsoring the event for five years now. We have K450 million to power this event as we are celebrating 25 years of existence in Malawi and 85 years as Seed Co international,” Luwe said.
He said out of the K450 million, the company would provide K350 million, with other partners contributing K100 million, to the tournament.
