The transfer of former Flames striker Khuda Muyaba to Masters Football Club (FC) has taken a dramatic twist as the two parties have suspended their discussions.
Muyaba has been linked with a move to Masters for the past two weeks after he returned home following the expiry of his contract with Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League champions Scotland FC.
In an interview Thursday, Masters acting Chief Executive Officer Christopher Njeula said they would resume talks with Muyaba this weekend.
“We expect him to come on Monday. We still want him but allow me not to disclose the reasons why we decided to put our discussions on hold,” Njeula said.
The former Silver Strikers and Moyale Barracks striker signed a short-term deal with Scotland last year and scored one goal for the club.

Muyaba was not readily available for his comment yesterday.
Masters have already signed goalkeeper Brighton Munthali, midfielders Ben Manyozo, Bayo Fatayo, strikers Chikaiko Batison and Antony Mfune.
The club is also linked with several players such as Hadji Wali, Miracle Gabeya, Uchizi Vunga and Chisomo Mpachika.
Meanwhile, Masters have taken a major step towards constituting a board to run the affairs of the club.

Njeula said the club was expected to announce names of members of the board next week.
Masters Group of Companies purchased Baka City’s status after the club earned promotion to the Super League.
Baka finished second in the NBS Bank National Division League (NDL), behind champions Red Lions.
A fortnight ago, Masters roped in former Nyasa Big Bullets coach Peter Mponda on a three-year contract.
Mponda has been given freedom to choose his backroom staff.
