The Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee investigating the Chikangawa plane crash expects to complete the witness hearing phase of its inquiry by October 30, 2026 as it moves to establish what happened before, during and after the aircraft carrying former vice-president Saulos Chilima and eight others crashed in Nthungwa.
Committee chairperson Walter Nyamilandu confirmed the development after the inquiry’s third phase, which was scheduled to resume Monday, was postponed to today to allow the committee to address gaps in the list of witnesses identified during the search and rescue process.
