The Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has formally charged the Super League of Malawi (Sulom) with five disciplinary offences stemming from the league’s alleged defiance of a stadium safety directive.
The charges, which have been outlined in a notice dated June 12, 2026, centre on Sulom’s decision to schedule a match between Mighty Wanderers and Karonga United at Kamuzu Stadium on April 25, 2026—just two days after Fam declared the venue unfit for Elite League matches pending facility inspection.
