FCB Nyasa Big Bullets striker Lanjesi Nkhoma has set his sights on securing a move to a foreign club in the 2024 season.
Nkhoma is walking tall in town after winning player of the tournament awards in the Castel Challenge Cup and Airtel Top 8.
He put the icing on the cake by winning the golden boot accolade in the Airtel Top 8 competition.
Nkhoma said he believes an opportunity to ply his trade outside the country will avail itself in the course of the new season.
“I am ready to play for foreign clubs even beyond the African continent. The awards I have received are a motivation for me to continue performing well so that I catch the attention of foreign clubs. These recognitions are creating a platform for me to attract foreign clubs. I believe they will be interested in my services if I continue to perform well.
“All I am praying for right now is consistency in the forthcoming season. It is my wish to play for a top club here in Africa or in Europe. This will be very helpful to my career to my career as I continue growing. But as I wait for that opportunity to come, I will continue helping my club Bullets to continue winning trophies. This is a requirement and a must at the club,” he said.
Former Bullets forward Grant Lungu said a move to a foreign club is possible for Nkhoma as long as he continues performing.
“Good things come to those who work hard. He just needs to put in as much effort as he can to realise his dream. I have watched him here and there and I can testify that he is good. I am sure that if he keeps going at the same pace for the next three years, he would secure a big deal either in South Africa or Europe,” Lungu said.
Nkhoma has been a regular goal scorer across all competitions and finished second in the TNM Super League golden boot chase with 14 goals, just three behind winner Clement Nyondo, formerly of Dedza Dynamos but now at Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.
