Mighty Mukuru Wanderers will be hoping to return to winning ways when they face Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon.
The Nomads have had an inconsistent start to the 2024 TNM Super League season having lost two matches, three wins and three draws in eight matches.
Wanderers lost by 2-0 margins to leaders Silver Strikers and Mzuzu City Hammers in two consecutive matches which led to resignation of coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan on Tuesday.
Following Ramadhan’s departure, Meck Mwase was promoted to the position of head coach. This could be a perfect opportunity for Mwase to start his reign on a high.
However, Dedza have been in form as they are unbeaten in the last five matches.

The two sides have met four times in the league but Wanderers have won three matches and drawn one.

Mwase said his charges will be looking to get a positive result against Dedza.
“The boys are determined and ready for the match. We need to exercise caution because Dedza are also a very good side,” he said.
The Nomads have received a timely boost as Cameroonian striker Sama Tanjong could make his debut this afternoon after he has been registered. They have struggled for goals as strikers have been missing clear-cut chances.

On his part, Dedza coach Andrew Bunya declared total war on Wanderers.
“We know that Wanderers will come hard on us after two losses but we need to keep possession to contain them. We need to protect our goal area and deny them enough space,” Bunya said.
In this tie, Dedza will be without their striker Promise Kamwendo due to an injury.
Wanderers are on position five on the log table with 12 points from eight matches whereas Dedza are seventh with 11 points from the same number of matches.
In other matches this afternoon, Mafco will host Creck Sporting Club at Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota whereas Moyale Barracks will meet Mighty Tigers at Mzuzu Stadium.
