FCB Nyasa Big Bullets former playmaker Patrick Mwaungulu had a dream debut for Democratic Republic of Congo side, Don Bosco, when he scored in the second half to guide his new team to a 1-0 victory over Panda in a Linafoot Ligue 1 match on Sunday.
Mwaungulu and Bullets former teammate Lanjesi Nkhoma were loaned out to Bosco due to a two-year Fifa ban that affected their parent club’s ability to secure their registration.
They both featured in the match but it was Mwaungulu who made the difference with a trademark free-kick in the 67th minute.
Mwaungulu was delighted with his contribution while hoping for a good season.
“Debut game, first goal, new challenge,” he briefly wrote on his Facebook page
Football scout Felix Ngamanya Sapao, who played a key role in the duo’s move to TP Mazembe from Bullets, tipped Mwaungulu to flourish.
“Linafoot Ligue 1 started on Saturday. He scored directly from a free-kick. He is under good development,” Sapao said.
