Local heavyweight boxer Mussa Ajibu will return into the ring on April 28 when he faces South African pugilist Ruann Visser in a 10-round non-title fight at Elsberg Sports and Leisure Centre in Lilongwe.
Ajibu, 38, last fought on August 26 last year when he lost to Apti Davtaev.
The Malawian has vowed to stop Visser.
“I am more than ready. I cannot describe my anger and hunger for this fight. I have never been this fit for a fight,” Ajibu said.
However, Visser said he had intensified training to two sessions a day to win the contest.

“I will not waste much time with him and I am more than ready for the fight. My plan is to show Malawians what I am made up of,” Visser said.
Ajibu has 30 wins, 20 defeats and five draws whereas Visser has 13 wins and two defeats.
In other bouts on the same bill, middleweight pugilist Kudakwache Banda will face Lucien Botumve of the Democratic Republic of Congo while Alick Mwenda will take on Canadian boxer Francy Ntetuwho.
Youth Boxing Promotion Executive Director Salimu Chazama dubbed the bill as ‘War of the Giants.’
