The National Planning Commission (NPC) has commended Standard Bank for taking a leading role in contributing to national economic development.
NPC Director General Thomas Munthali was speaking in Lilongwe at the launch of the bank’s 2022 Report to Society.
“NPC commends Standard Bank’s novel approach which is the first of its kind in the banking sector. The bank is helping to grow our resource mobilisation efforts, and complementing efforts to realise our goals under MW2063 vision,” Munthali said.
Munthali then urged the bank to consider providing long-term financing to help the country create more wealth.
