NBS Bank, through its subsidiary NBS Forex Bureau, has boosted preparations for the upcoming Institute of Marketing in Malawi (IMM) Swing to Serve Charity Golf Tournament with a K1 million donation.
The tournament, scheduled for Saturday, September 6, at Lilongwe Golf Club, will see golfers from across the country converge to raise funds to purchase essential medical equipment for Salima District Hospital.
NBS Forex Bureau General Manager, Fiskani Chiyendawamba, said the bank was proud to be associated with the initiative.
“This sponsorship is not just about golf… it is about contributing towards better healthcare for Malawians,” he said.

He said the K1 million sponsorship would go towards sponsoring five teams who will participate in the charity competition.
“We believe in supporting initiatives that bring tangible impact to the communities we serve. Chiyendawamba said.
IMM President, George Damson, said the Swing to Serve Charity Golf Tournament is a new addition to IMM’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, which are usually organized in the district hosting their annual conference.
“The funds raised this year will be channelled towards purchasing sustainable and long-lasting medical equipment for Salima District Hospital,” Damson said.
