FCB Nyasa Big Bullets mentor Kalitso Pasuwa has described most local players as not good enough to make the grade at the People’s Team.
Bullets, who have been hit by injuries, did not sign any player at the end of the transfer window on Monday night.
The People’s Team are expected to begin their Caf Champions League preliminary round campaign against Dragon FC of Equatorial Guinea away on Sunday.
Speaking to Times Radio after the team’s 3-0 win over Mchinji-based TNM Super League debutants Extreme, Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa said they will look elsewhere because he cannot find good players in the country presently.
“After we sold Babatunde Adepoju and lost Chimwemwe Idana, we did not get direct replacements for the two. We got some players we want to improve before they get to the level of those that left.

“We have a problem because we want six months or so to improve to perform at a high level. If we can get foreign players, that will be better,” Pasuwa said.
Before the start of the season, Bullets signed Nigerian forward Chinedu Okafor and Kenyan duo of Collins Okumu and Clyde Senaji.
Meanwhile, a section of Bullets supporters are pushing for new arrivals at the club following a run of unconvincing results.
Bullets Supporters Director Stone Mwamadi conceded that the club needed to beef up.

“We have not been as lethal as we were in the past three seasons. We have lots of injuries and lost some important players. It is true that supporters have been pressing for new signings,” he said.
Bullets have so far lost five key players to long injuries, notably striker Hassan Kajoke, midfielders Mike Mkwate, Stanley Biliati, defenders Clyde Senaji and Alick Lungu.
They will all miss both the away and home games against Dragon in the Caf Champions League.
