Civil Service United’s impressive performance has helped them sell record number of replica jerseys in a single day.
The Lilongwe-based club disclosed that it generated K3.5 million in replica jersey sales during their first round final match against Mighty Wanderers at Civo Stadium on Sunday.
In a statement released Monday, Civil said it was the first time the club had generated such amount through replica sales in a single day.
“We are truly grateful to all our amazing fans who purchased jerseys to show their love for the team,” the statement reads.

Civil Administrator Gabriel Chirwa said there was a huge demand for the club’s shirt.
“We are doing well on-and-off the pitch,” he said.
Chirwa said the first consignment had 3000 replica jerseys.
Last week, giants FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers disclosed that their respective first consignment was sold out.

The Nomads added 2,000 more shirts following the huge demand.
Both teams attributed their success to impressive performance this season.
