“One of the finest legal minds that this country has ever produced. His research skills were incomparable and his ability to devise a winning litigation strategy was devastating.
“In our profession, the honour of Senior Counsel is reserved for elite and distinguished lawyers. And he clearly earned his stripes. The contributions that he made to the development of our law will never be wished away. He has left a mark that will survive the hurricanes of time,” Soko wrote.

National Police spokesperson Peter Kalaya said they will provide more details on the death after the postmortem.
“Right now, I can only confirm that he was found lying dead in his room at a lodge in Area 47. He was alone in the room at the time and a waitress saw his body on the floor. He had gone to Lilongwe for family matters and he was at the lodge which is his regular place when he is in the city,” Kalaya said yesterday.
Kasambara, 56, is survived by a wife and three children.
