Singer and guitarist Code Sangala is back in the music terrain and, this time around, he is speaking about environmental conservation.
The artist has used his craft to tackle the issue, imploring the country to go green in a single titled ‘Shuwa’.
The former Big Brother Africa representative has released the track on Putumayo World Music.
Code said yesterday that ‘Shuwa’ is part of a compilation album titled African Sojourn.
“This project includes some of Africa’s best artists in one,” the ‘Mukunama’ creator said.

He described ‘Shuwa’ as special to him, saying, through it, he was addressing an important subject of deforestation in Malawi.
“It is very necessary for Malawians to wake up and embark on an intense afforestation programme to restore Malawi, which used to be green not so long ago,” Code said.
The musician added that, at the rate the country was going, people would wake up to a Malawi that was a desert.
“This is an appeal to the government and all Malawians to plant more trees. I think it should be a law that every household should plant a tree,” he said.
