On-and-off Flames attacking midfielder Gerald Phiri Junior has said he is confident of finding a new club during the international transfer window.
The talented midfielder had been training with DStv Premiership side Moroka Swallows after terminating his contract with Sudanese giants Al Hilal on mutual consent in July last year.
However, he failed to convince Swallows hierarchy to offer him a deal. In an interview yesterday, his manager Paul Mitchel of Siyavuma Sports Group said they will look at available options at the end of the season.
“The season is over; so, we will see what to do during pre-season. We will look at options,’’ Mitchel said in a written response.
The 1.8 metres tall midfielder has not played active football for close to one year.
Before terminating the contract with Al Hilal, he was a key member of the Sudanese giants. He was playing regularly in all competitions.
The former Mighty Mukuru Wanderers midfielder has played for several clubs abroad including Baroka FC, Bidvest Wits, Platinum FC and Township Rollers in Botswana.
